Carpenter Training Partners (CTP) offers training to develop work readiness skills for individuals interested in learning the foundations of residential and commercial construction. Our program increases individual marketability in the workforce and provides networking opportunities to secure and maintain employment. CTP serves Los Angeles, Antelope Valley, and San Fernando Valley.

Networking To Direct Job Opportunities

Carpenter Training Partners works with various organizations to help connect trainees with union and non-union contractors to seek employment.

Employment Readiness Training

In addition to hands-on training, CTP offers a virtual class once a week to teach essential strategies for seeking and maintaining employment as well as how to vertically climb the career ladder.

Job Placement

CTP partners with various organizations and contractors to help place our trainees onto jobs. Ultimately, it is up to each individual to "hustle their work."

WHAT WE DO

How it works

CTP trainees are taught by Certified Journeyman Carpenters through a 20-week program.

1 Month Course

Orientation
Tools Identification, Usage, and Maintenance, Group Project, Physical Conditioning, OSHA-10, Hazmat, Leadership Skills Course

Construction Training

CTP trains individuals on how to frame a house to build to California code. Concepts include the following: House Foundation,Walls, Windows, Doors, Roof

WHY CHOOSE US

How it works

The program includes the completion of a 1-month course titled “Foundations in Construction” After completion of this course, pre-apprentices can elect to continue their training in construction or develop their skills in another trade including labor, electrical, HVAC, etc. Training continues with 15-weeks of hands-on training. After graduating from the program, CTP works to support each individual while they seek employment.
